Due to increasing markets and company growth, we are eager to fill the newly- created position of Electrical Superintendent. The position will report to DRI Energy’s Vice President and, depending on the selected candidate’s preference, will be based in Irvine or San Leandro, California.
Tell Me What I’ll Be Doing:
- Supervise crews and perform work required for the repair, maintenance, installation, and modernization of electrical systems for buildings, equipment and grounds, including assembly and installation of conduit and wiring for photovoltaic AC and DC systems, disconnects, DC combiner boxes, and electrical subpanels.
- Work closely with engineers, electricians, general contractors and/or architects to ensure the safe and efficient installation of photovoltaic (or other new electrical) systems in existing buildings, including preparing sketches and/or blueprints to determine wiring and equipment locations.
- Supervise customer service crews and repair system malfunctions; test electrical equipment for safety and efficiency.
- Promote and adhere to Company safety policies and procedures.
- Oversee job cost performance.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five or more years of electrician experience including progressively increasing management responsibility (foremen level or above), specializing in high-voltage (>480V) electrical installations for commercial buildings
- Proven project management skills, including ability to generate, track and adhere to defined project schedules
- Understand as-built and construction blueprints
- Microsoft Office proficiency, including MS Excel
- Ability to climb ladders and work on roofs and in confined spaces
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated people management skills, including motivating employees to perform quality work and meet deadlines and developing/maintaining excellent customer relationships
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of and/or experience with photovoltaic system installation and Ethernet wiring systems
- Proficient use of AutoCAD
- C10 Electrical License
