DRI Energy at www.dricompanies.com is hiring an Electrician NOW! Working out of the Company's San Leandro office, the Electrician will join a group of motivated and empowered individuals who drive our expanding energy division.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Apply safety precaution pertaining to electrocution and general safety regulations and procedures, fall safety, personal protective equipment, lifting procedures and back injury prevention.
- Work closely with engineers, other electricians, general contractors or architects
- Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
- Lay-out, assemble and install conduit and wiring for photovoltaic AC and DC systems in accordance with plans and the latest NEC codes.
- Size and install conduits, conductors, switches, and junction boxes. Install disconnects, DC combiner boxes, and electrical subpanels.
- Performs work required for the repair, maintenance, installation, and modernization of electrical systems for buildings, equipment and grounds.
- Performs work of a skilled variety demanding a high degree of manual and technical competency.
- Safely connect to the new photovoltaic system to the existing electrical system.
- Locates and determines electrical malfunctions using test equipment.
- Repairs malfunctions by such methods as replacing burned out elements, fuses, and replacing defective wiring, replacing photovoltaic inverter components and modules.
- Tests electrical equipment, for safety and efficiency, using standard test equipment and by observing functions.
- Basic knowledge of Ethernet wiring systems.
- Redline as-built/construction blueprints.
- Performs other duties as may be required.
Our ideal candidate will possess a minimum 3 years of journeyman electrician experience in commercial buildings and 1 year of experience in photovoltaic system installation. The candidate should also possess a California certified general electrician card, although a C-10 electrical license is preferred. In addition, this successful individual will be have the ability to use the internet/email and be proficient in Microsoft Excel. Proficient use of AutoCAD is highly desirable.
