Relying on this experience, DRI Energy specializes in providing solar energy installations, lighting retrofit, daylighting, and other services that dramatically reduce its customers’ energy usage and costs. DRI Energy occupies an exciting and rapidly expanding presence in the energy management services industry. Increasing markets and company growth have lead to the creation of the Energy Sales Associate position to capitalize on new opportunities for DRI’s lighting retrofit, daylighting and other energy management solutions. The position will report to DRI Energy’s Executive Vice President and will be based either in Irvine or San Leandro, California. Role:The Energy Sales Associate will be an integral member of DRI Energy’s sales and marketing team with responsibility for meeting specific sales goals. We seek a highly motivated individual to help take our sales organization to the next level while driving rapid growth. Primary Responsibilities:
- Generate, develop and qualify sales leads in the commercial and industrial market segments for DRI’s energy management services, including lighting retrofit, daylighting and lighting control solutions
- Identify and target key clients and accounts for increased market penetration
- Produce sales orders by convincing customers of the financial, technical and/or environmental merits of DRI’s energy management services
- Proactively identify ways to support accounts, such as providing energy management training to customers and collaborating with product suppliers
- Participate in business-related trade shows and exhibitions as required
- Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant financial incentives for energy management solutions
- Develop baseline understanding of DRI’s related roofing services and renewable energy product offerings to collaborate with sister companies’ sales force and provide comprehensive, turnkey energy solutions to customers
Required Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of sales experience, with a solid track record of selling high value products or services in North America
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to create results-driven, team-oriented environment, including ability to quickly gain an understanding of company’s service offerings
- Exceptional attention-to-detail
- Demonstrated success in uncovering opportunities, creating customer interest, and closing business for a new technology
- Detailed involvement in proposal preparation process and responding to RFPs
- Must be a motivated self-starter
- Exceptional verbal and written communication/presentation skills, including ability to conduct compelling and concise demonstrations to technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications:
- Undergraduate Degree or above
- 3 or more years of sales experience in the energy management services or renewable energy industry, including demonstrated performance track record
- Thorough knowledge of financial incentive and rebate programs for energy management solutions
