PC Hardware Technician - Irvine, CA

We seek to identify a results-oriented and highly self-motivated PC Hardware Technician to play a significant role as a member of DRI's I.T. Team. The position will work out of the Company's Irvine, CA office and report to the I.T. Systems Administrator. Primary Responsibilities:
- Approach all tasks with a customer-centric attitude and focus, while balancing individual customer needs with the goals and priorities of DRI.
- Provide first-tier end user support for PC related help desk calls from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Troubleshoot, determine, and implement solutions to first-tier support calls; escalate complex and/or high priority issues as appropriate.
- Install, maintain, and support client machines (e.g. PCs, laptops, thin clients, netbooks, printers and PC peripherals).
- Set-up new employee user accounts and hardware, and conduct new employee I.T. 101 training.
- Manage shipping and receiving I.T. equipment and supplies.
- Manage off-site backup tape storage and delivery.
- Handle repairs and Return Material Authorizations (RMAs).
- Perform I.T. maintenance visits to remote office locations.
- Setup and support audio video equipment and machines for special presentations and trade shows.
- Assist with administrative tasks, documentation, and other I.T. special projects as directed.
Required Qualifications:
- College coursework in MIS, Computer Science or related experience
- Proven experience installing operating systems and software
- Proficient with MS Office suite
- Excellent customer service skills and positive attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience working in a fast-paced I.T. department
- Help-desk experience supporting a diverse user community across many different devices and systems
