(IRVINE, Calif.) Perry Phillips, Superintendent for Irvine, Calif. based DRI Commercial, has received the roofing industry’s Most Valuable Player Award from the National Roofing Contractors Association Alliance for Progress. Phillips was honored last week, along with seven other professionals from across the United States, at the National Roofing Contractors Association’s 121st Annual Convention and International Roofing Expo 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Phillips was selected out of 34 nominees because of his dedication to his company and his fellow employees, commitment to quality and customer satisfaction and his passion for volunteerism in both his professional and personal life.
Primarily responsible for waterproofing and built-up roofing projects, Phillips has managed such jobs as the Anaheim Hilton, Disney's Grand Hotel, Irvine Spectrum, St. John's Hospital, Archstone Marina Del Rey, Cal Tech and Kia World Headquarters. He has been recognized by his peers as someone who understands the value of attracting and retaining valuable employees, providing hands-on training in the areas of application techniques, quality assurance and safety. Clients have appreciated his attention to their needs, always striving to exceed expectations.
