DRI Energy occupies an exciting and rapidly expanding presence in the energy management services industry.  Increasing markets and company growth have lead to the creation of the Regional Vice President of Sales position. The position reports to DRI Energy’s Executive Vice President and works out of the Company's Irvine, California office.

Role:

The Regional Vice President will oversee the Southern California project development (sales) team and is responsible for providing vision and leadership for sales strategies for this rapidly growing division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all Southern California sales activities and for developing and managing a successful domestic sales force.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Drive, plan and execute the sales of the Company's energy services to commercial and industrial entities, utilities, independent power producers, and the government
  • Identify and target key clients and accounts for increased market penetration
  • Establish annual and monthly sales objectives and a cohesive Sales Plan in coordination with the Company's business plan
  • Coordinate the specific objectives of the Sales Plan with all of the functional departments of the division and its affiliated entities, in coordination with the Executive Vice President, including integration of affiliates' construction services
  • Manage company's strategic alliance efforts to leverage complimentary sales channels and increase business opportunities
  • Build and manage the project development team and ensure that the organization is focused on selling to qualified prospects, including:
  • Training the project development team to persuasively present a variety of energy services, including photovoltaic system installations
  • Leading project development team through measurable performance objectives
  • Developing annual and quarterly sales plans and forecasts in collaboration with the Executive Vice President
  • Quickly, consistently and effectively qualify new sales opportunities and close business in a timely fashion
  • Consistently fulfill commitments made to clients, prospects and staff
  • Participate in negotiations of major contracts, developing personal relationships with key clients
Required Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate Degree or above, preferably in business
  • Eight or more years of sales and management experience, with a solid track record of at least two years selling energy management services in North America
  • Demonstrated experience having built and led sales teams
  • Excellent management, leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to create results-driven, team-oriented environment, including ability to quickly gain an understanding of company's service offerings and products installed
  • Exceptional ability to manage and drive details and track multi-faceted relationships and agreements
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication/presentation skills, including ability to conduct compelling and concise demonstrations to technical and non-technical audiences, as well as training presentations to sales staff
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated sales and managerial experience with solar integrator
  • Thorough knowledge of financing and rebate programs for domestic solar/PV industry
