DRI Companies ( www.dricompanies.com) is a respected national construction and energy services firm that specializes in providing premium roofing, waterproofing, solar (photovoltaic), and energy efficient installations for its commercial, government, and residential homebuilder clients. DRI Companies operates through four wholly owned subsidiaries: DRI Commercial, DRI Residential, DRI Energy, and Lumeta (a leading developer of Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) products at www.lumetasolar.com). DRI Companies is led by a senior management team with extensive experience and a longstanding reputation for excellence in the construction industry. Due to increasing markets and company growth, DRI Companies is eager to fill the newly-created position of Supply Chain Manager. This position will be based out of our Irvine, California headquarters. Role:
- Develop and implement an efficient inventory/logistics strategy to support Lumeta’s solar products business.
- Drive the implementation of material requirements management (MRP) and logistics functions within DRI Companies’ ERP infrastructure (Oracle’s JD Edwards Enterprise One), as well as other software/hardware enablers to support supply chain processes.
- Oversee DRI Companies’ warehouse network and personnel, maximizing the return on investment of inventory assets, exceeding fill rates and minimizing shrinkage.
- Manage the quality and on-time delivery of solar module and tile products delivered by contract manufacturers.
- Supervise finished solar product shipments to US and Europe.
- Manage material movement from suppliers to jobsites for construction services businesses, minimizing total delivered costs and optimizing use of current transportation asset base.
- Oversee deployment of DRI Companies’ transportation assets.
Required Qualifications:
- 10-15 years in a supply chain management function with progressively increasing management responsibility
- Proven experience managing contract manufacturer relationships domestically and internationally
- Proven expertise in MRP functions
- Broad expertise in managing global purchasing function
- Previous experience implementing MRP, inventory management and/or supply chain optimization information technology enablers
- Ability to autonomously thrive in a start-up environment, meet aggressive deadlines and successfully multi-task
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS or BA degree highly desired, and degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Industrial/Mechanical/ Manufacturing Engineering preferred
- Experience managing supply chain processes in the construction services and/or electric/electronics industries
- Supply chain consulting experience with manufacturing clients
- Experience implementing inventory optimization and strategic sourcing initiatives
- Advanced degree in manufacturing management or supply chain disciplines
- APICS Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification
- Fluent in Mandarin (products are manufactured in China), German or French
