We seek to identify a results-oriented and highly self-motivated Vice President, Human Resources to play a significant role as a member of DRI’s senior management team and operate in a fast-paced and collegial environment. The ideal candidate will provide leadership in developing and executing human resources strategy in support of the Company’s overall business plan and hands-on direction in the areas of organizational, talent and performance management; policies and programs covering employment; compensation; benefits; recruiting and retention; employee relations; training and development and compliance with all applicable employment laws. The position will work out of the Company’s Irvine office and report to the CFO.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement HR efforts, plans and strategies that effectively communicate and support the Company's vision and strategic plan.
  • Function as a strategic business advisor to the senior management team regarding key organizational and management issues.
  • Provide direction and work prioritization, and assign accountability to department staff in the performance of HR-related duties and in achieving management initiatives.
  • Oversee the implementation of comprehensive strategic recruiting strategy and plans to meet the Company's human capital needs.
  • Direct employee benefit programs, and evaluate/analyze most cost effective benefit programs and services for talent retention.
  • Identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps and develop specific training and development programs to address such gaps.  Develop and implement training for new hires, succession planning and career development for existing employees.
  • Continually assess the competitiveness of all programs and practices against relevant, comparable companies, industries and markets to ensure we are attracting and retaining the best people.
  • Capitalize on the existing HRIS system to reduce inefficiencies and streamline processes.
  • Develop, implement and oversee Company policies and practices that are inline with Company goals, while maintaining current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments and applicable laws regarding HR.
Required Qualifications:
  • A BS/BA degree in HR or Business related field
  • Minimum of 15 years generalist HR-related experience with a minimum of five years at an executive management level
  • Aptitude to strategically and tactically evaluate, develop and implement sophisticated HR-related programs and initiatives
  • Capacity to work with a variety of organizational leadership to build consensus around HR strategy and tactics
  • Ability to attract and retain outstanding talent and assemble and motivate high performance teams
  • Capability to build and maintain positive relationships at all levels of an organization
  • Highly organized; ability to take initiatives and follow-through on all HR-related directives
  • Knowledge of federal government contracting regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • MBA/MA in HR or Business related field
  • HR or Business related experience in an international and publicly held corporation
  • Construction or renewable energy industry background
  • Excellent knowledge of HRIS systems, ideally JD Edwards World or Oracle EnterpriseOne
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
